One of 21 velodromes in the nation, this bicycle track was built in 1986 for the U.S. Olympic Festival and is the site of the 1989 Texas Track Championships. The track is a 333-meter concrete oval with bankings of 9 to 33 degrees in the turns.
City of Katy Railroad Park and Railroad Museum

The City of Katy Railroad Park houses the old MKT Depot which serves as an Information and Tourist Center for Katy. A caboose and the elegant Verdin Street Clock graces the park.
Great Southwest Equestrian Center

The Great Southwest Equestrian Center is a world class horse show facility hosting over 80 different horse shows each year. From local events to internationally attended shows, GSWEC is home to National Reining Breeders Classic and the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show. The Center is the largest dedicated horse show facility in Texas with four covered arenas and stalls for up to 1,000 horses. Most events are free to the public.

Katy Heritage Park

The park includes restored historical buildings, including the Wright Museum, the Featherstone House, the Stockdick House and old Post Office. Concerts are held on the new Tradition Bank Bandstand.

Katy Mills is a1.3 million-square-foot dominant retail and entertainment destination. Katy Mills features hundreds of the best names in retail including Last Call Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store, Tommy Hilfiger Company Store, Juicy Couture, and the Nike Factory Store. Mall operating hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A broad sweep of land that stretches from just beyond the Houston city limits, west toward Brookshire, and northwest toward Hempstead, the Katy Prairie has a decidedly unique heritage.
Imagine a place close by where families, hikers, bikers, and nature lovers can enjoy the outdoors and wide open spaces. The Flat Out Wonderful Katy Prairie is that place and you are invited to discover the many recreational opportunities on the prairie. The Katy Prairie Conservancy has already conserved thousands of acres and wants to share them with you. Take a family friendly tour or a more adventurous nature hike during the regular Prairie Discovery Tours or branch out on your own during the Open Trails events. The Katy Prairie Conservancy is working hard to conserve the Katy Prairie for all Texans for all time. There are many exciting opportunities right next door to you on the Katy Prairie.
